Join a leading middle market investment bank with a strong presence in capital markets and advisory. The firm serves institutional clients across equities, fixed income, and investment banking, with additional services in real estate finance and prime brokerage. The Financial Institutions Group advises banks, insurers, specialty lenders, and asset managers on M&A, capital raising, and strategic initiatives, bringing deep industry knowledge and strong client relationships to complex transactions. The platform is actively growing, and two teams are looking to add high-performing junior bankers at the Analyst 3 or Associate 1 level to support strong deal activity in their respective verticals.

 

About the role



Responsibilities:

  • Join the bank coverage team within FIG, focusing on M&A and capital raising transactions for regional banks, community banks, and other depository institutions.
  • Perform financial modeling and valuation analysis to support live transactions and client pitches.
  • Develop client materials including pitch books, CIMs, and board presentations.
  • Track key industry trends, regulatory updates, and market activity across the U.S. banking sector.
  • Work closely with senior deal team members and gain exposure to clients, transaction structuring, and business development.

Desired background:

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or financial services.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working on live M&A and/or capital markets transactions.
  • Familiarity with key metrics, regulatory frameworks, and business models across banks or specialty finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline with strong academic performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute in a fast-paced, lean team environment.
